CTE stuns CAS in Volleyball Men's Division

College of Teacher Education defeated last year's champions, College of Arts and Sciences (CAS), 23-25, 25-17, 25-17, earlier today at the CNU Inner Court.
Losing to CAS the previous year, CTE turned the tables as they set a comeback after losing the 1st set with an attack error, 23-25.
Coming in to the 2nd set, rookie players from CTE let pressure got into them. However, team captain Robert Tumakay assured his teammates that senior players will always have their back and all they have to do is to trust everyone on the team.
Scoring 25-17 in the 2nd set, they were able to extend the match into a deciding set.
CTE took advantage of the errors made by CAS which helped them build confidence and took the victory over the defending champs.
Ivan Villarias, who tallied numerous points said that they were not expecting to win the game as they were up against rival, but promised to give a good and exciting match-up.
"Naninguha ra jud ko nga mapasok lang ang bola, para maka-gain ug points para sa team," said Villarias.
CTE will continue their games tomorrow at the Inner Court.
