BALAMBAN DEFEATS CAS IN THE FIRST GAME

After a breathtaking game between CNU Balamban and College of Arts and Sciences (CAS), Balamban ends up claiming the victory scoring 69-68 despite the game being stopped due to heavy rain.

Upon scoring 2 points each, the match was stopped due to the bad weather and was resumed minutes after the rain ended.

During the 1st quarter, Balamban dominated the game and left a large margin against CAS with a score of 25-17.

Entering the 2nd quarter, CAS was able to cut down the lead with Marvin Tan's shot but Balamban immediately regained their momentum and ended the 1st half scoring 43 over CAS with 41 points.

Starting the 2nd half, CAS took the lead against CNU Balamban with 49-48 but Balamban tries to catch up and took back the lead which ended the 3rd quarter with a score of 57-54.

CAS never gave up as the last quarter started. However, Balamban's strong will to overcome CAS was evident as they win the game with a penalty shot from Joseph Turtor ending the thrilling game with a score of 69-68.

Games scheduled after the first game were cancelled and it was decided by the committee to play those games tomorrow.
